First Job this week was to lay 4 inches of screed inside the Obs to seal and level the floor. It also serves to anchor the Obs down as it overlaps the base edges. That took just over a ton of screed all mixed and laid by hand. Today I have put in the raised plywood floor. This allows for all the cables to run in a partition under the floor and out of harms way. It also means I will no longer have to stand on a bucket to look through the finder scope. The new floor. The imaging rig in its new home. One of the Pods on the back of the Obs that now holds the power supplies. The next thing I will be doing is fitting a home made drive system to auto rotate the dome with the mount and motorise the shutter.
