Tweedledee Posted March 10, 2012 Share Posted March 10, 2012 Hi Mick, Kim, Darren, Martyn, Edward, Dan, Felix and everyone. Thanks very much for all your good wishes on my 22nd birthday. LOL. I've been a bit quiet recently, had a really hectic time at work and feeling a bit rough with a bug. Fine again now though, after my wife took me away to Eden Hall Spa yesterday for a fantastic day of relaxation. Been searching the net looking for a really nice portable scope mainly for visual, and possibly video (Mintron) use. I want something compact but very usable like a Mak or possibly SCT on an altaz goto mount. (don't need eq.) I really fancy a 7" Mak, for its reputed image quality and compactness. Trying to find at least some of it secondhand to keep costs down. I'm a bit behind the times on what is out there now, having been away from astronomy for a couple of years.
