StuartJPP Posted August 12, 2015 Share Posted August 12, 2015 First time I have played around with capturing and processing a Hydrogen Alpha image (Hα). I debayered this image manually and only processed the "red" channel. I am pleased to have got this from my heavily light polluted garden in Leeds. An RGB image of the same exposure with no filter is practically white clipped. Needs a lot longer subs and much more data but it gives me something to play with on those nights that I am not at a dark site...Baader Modified Canon 6D (not debayered)18x300 Seconds @ ISO800Canon 500mm f/4 L IS lens@ f/4Baader 7nm Hα filter. +Ibbo, Johnnyaardvark, xanthic and 1 other 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
