You did that justice there Stuart, it shows the dust really well.


It still amazes me how imaging technology has opened up objects like this to the amateur astronomer. These were the sort of things even the big scopes were struggling with 50 years ago.

Same here...I can't believe the difference stacking 45 pretty dull and mediocre images produces this as an end result. I'd never have believed it if I didn't see it for myself.

Used an Avalon Instruments M-Zero, my new (to me anyway) "portable" set-up.

Thanks Sheila, the hardest part was framing the flaming thing. Couldn't particularly see anything on the back of the LCD, just a faint splodge.
