A sunny morning had me setting up the Lunt on my HEQ5 at the top of the garden to grab as much as I could before the clouds rolled in. Cant get sun at this time of year from my observatory due to pesky trees.


 


Conditions were boiling but I managed to get a shot of the large circular filament that's on there at the moment. Image inverted to bring out the filament detail

Here it is in normal H alpha light. Clouds and trees stopped me getting a full disc unfortunately

very nice Phil


 


I ran out of steam at about 5am o packed away to Venus and Jupiter


and when I finally arose from my slumber the sun had gone behind the clouds

Goes to show you cant have it both ways this time of year. :(  I didn't get any night session in, too tired, but was all fired up for solar this am so was happy to get what I got
