Guest Posted November 28, 2015 Share Posted November 28, 2015 It's a "formula" shot: Skymax 127, Nikon D3200 DSLR, ISO 800 1/1000 second exposure. I stacked 88 frames in Microsoft ICE and finished up with GIMP. I vary the exposure when it gets near full. Otherwise the only thing that varies is the number of frames, usually between 50 and 150. Smithysteve Posted November 28, 2015 Share Posted November 28, 2015 Thanks Philip, the skymax 127 is very similar to my ETX125 maksutov at f15 etc, mine only has a 1.25" diagonal eyepiece holder, is that what you use, or do you couple your camera straight to the back of the scope with an adapter? I must admit I have not attempted to use my mak for Astro photography , Have you used this setup to capture deep sky objects? Cheers! Nosy Steve!
