Hi all!

come December 25th I will be the proud owner of my first telescope!

I have gone for the skywatcher dob 6" I know ideally I could have went with the 8" for a perfect beginner scope but have a budget to keep to :)

Absolute newbie when it comes to stargazing but looking forward to diving in head first and meeting some of you guys :)

Happy stargazing everyone

Hi Anthony and welcome to EMS :)

Congrats on your new scope purchase - the 6" dob is still a very good scope for scanning round the night sky.

Feel free to ask questions or advice - just start a thread in the appropriate section and someone will be along with an answer soon.

Enjoy the forum :)

Hi Anthony, a warm welcome to EMS.

That's great scope to start out with and it will keep you happy for a good while, there is a load that you will be able to see with it. If you have any questions feel free to ask away. I am over in Watnall, so if you need any hands on help just holler.

Welcome aboard, and welcome to the Dob Mob. There's a few of us with Dobs of various different sizes. They are great scopes for visual, it won't be long before you've modded it I'm sure.
