Thanks folks. its a good little scope the ed80, small, simple and well behaved. The colour started to come through now, it wasn't with just 1 hour data, it still took some processing to get it though

This was taken after thinking I had sorted my mount comms out, I hadn't, ended up with wires everywhere and the netbook wedged on the mount.

All sorted now I have a well behaved Keyspan USB/serial adaptor in place of the Prolific one to run the mount remotely which Celestron Nexremote just does not like. Even with XP it was always clunky but it worked, win 7 was a no no. Now both XP and win 7 machines run the imaging gear plus planetarium software and play Rammstein at the same time
