First guided shot with the ST80 piggybecked on the HEQ5 using my DMK as the guide camera.

That's brilliant, is there no way of removing the noise in the processed image?

I've over-done it can't seem to get away with 2 histogram stretches.

I will have another play later.

Andy, I've a 200DPS and a Canon 1000d but no guiding set up, what can I expect to get without it, anything? Still not sorted out exposures yet either?

Cheers

Ron

On my EQ5, on its tripod I managed to get 4 minute subs, however I threw away about 40-50% that where showing periodic error.

If you have good polar alignment and guiding I recon you'd get 5 minute subs.

I'm looking to drop back down to 3 minute subs.
