Saturn's moons

Now let me be completely honest here! I honestly don't know which are moons and which are background stars. I'm 90% sure I've got Titan.

The images are:

All were taken using a 1540mm Mak and DSLR at ISO 6400. The first shot was 1 second exposure and shows some trailing. The second and third are 1/2 second exposure. I took multiple frames and stacked them.

I would be REALLY interested if anyone has taken any driven exposures, especially with an exceptional mount.

Hi Phil, trying to work out the position of the moons etc... ?

what night or date and what time did you take the last shot?

also was your view inverted north to south, left to right or both?

cheers!

You have too much time on your hands Steve. :D

I was about to post the same thing as I like a little challenge. But I can make another cuppa now and carry on relaxing and reading my book.

Will be interested to find out what is where in that pic.

Thanks Steve.

The exact times that the images were taken are a bit ambiguous Phil, but I have had a go...

The brightness of Saturn drowns out a few of its closest moons! But taking Titan pretty much for granted and allowing for the magnitudes of the moons, this is my best guess... For example Hyperion is a miserable mag+15.1, whilst Rhea is 10.3!

And I could be wrong. But I would welcome any further comments on this... :)
