This is my first ever go with a DSLR: 300mm, ISO6400 3 seconds.

 

Could be ages before I get another go and I'll try with my Mak.

The Wild Duck Cluster does stand out! 

Amazing what a camera can resolve in 3 secs. There are lots of stars in that FOV.

How many could you see naked eye Phil?

 

The human eye is amazing and gives us super wide FOV, we can capture meteors better than a camera, but we cannot build up an exposure or stack images!

Without photography we would mostly be unaware of many of the amazing sights of the universe.
