Sounds like you had a cracking night there Graham. It's nice to have time and not be under pressure from the weather. Your imaging gear behaved itself as well!

M31 is just gorgeous isn't it, there is so much to take in through one eyepiece.

I can imagine that the Morpheus on the ST80 would be superb on M31.

Here's a link to some info on a most fascinating object very clearly shown within Grahams image. Herbig Haro 555 is a protostar forming at the end of the elephants trunk thing hanging down from the brighter part of the nebula. You can't actually see the protostar itself, but the tell tale signs are all visible in Grahams image. There are several other HH objects within the nebula...
