Myself and Cosmic Dave visited our dark site last night and as well as doing some visual i managed to capture M3 globular cluster and also The Leo Triplet.

I think i need more data on the Leo Triplet but i am quite happy with the results as i am really just starting out in imaging.

Canon 1000d, 8 inch Newtonian on an EQ5, 20 X 25 seconds lights and the same for darks.

Good images Mike, it seems the 'dark' makes a difference!

Mike? And i thought my memory was bad.

The dark sky there makes a world of difference Ron, and this was with a bright crescent Moon. Should be able to tease out more detail on a moonless night.
