Dean Watson Posted July 11, 2017 Share Posted July 11, 2017 Then again, lets not forget that it was to a large part the impetus of politics that got us to the Moon in the first place (cold war blah blah). The commercial case isnt good enough, no one wants to spend that much on pure exploration. The only real driver (as has been much the case with most Human exploration) is ego and pride in beating the other guy. I see nothing wrong in that, the means justify the ends as it were... Its what makes us Human. We'd all like to believe that we're all wonderfully altruistic and into that 'spirit of exploration' stuff. But whats the one thing guaranteed to motivate people?
