That's a nice find. That deserves some careful looking after in an obsy, or retirement to a museum.

I was shown that by Richard some years ago when I went to test his Skylight prototype. One tends to think triplets are modern, nah, T Cooke were growing fluorite crystals for a third element in the 19th century. This is a superb scope and needs a good dark sky and a proper observatory.

Great find but if I had that amount of dosh, I could get an incredible solar telescope.  One does not like to make too many assumptions in life but I am guessing that I'll have more time for daylight viewing than before but less night time.
