Another new target.

SH2 188 -- The Dolphin Neb.

7.5 hours of half an hour subs in HA.

Captured and stacked in Maxim.

Badly processed in Pixinsight. ( I need to have another go at this when I have had some sleep. )

Certainly one I have not seen before but I think it looks more like a shrimp. That's not intended to be a comment on the quality of the image. Well caught Graham.

Tweedledee

That looks brilliant Graham.

Apparently it started life as a ring planetary nebula, possibly like M57 or many others, but is moving rapidly towards the top left of the pic. The trailing side of the ring has dissipated and bow shock waves are visible at the front end.

Nice one Graham...! 👍

it does look a bit like a smoke ring from almost side on... Which is exactly what it is, I suppose :)

Allen the problem is i cannot get it to do what I want.

It seems to be so finicky to me.

Mind I am not exactly a computer buff

Even if I process step by step using a video tutorial my image never does what the one on the video does.

It is driving me to distraction :wallbash:
