Guest spold2001 Posted April 20, 2012 Share Posted April 20, 2012 hi iread on another forum that unscrewing the base part of the barlow with the lens in it and putting on your eyepiece gives you 1.5 x mag this refered to gso barlows ,mine has no brand name does it still apply? BAZ Posted April 21, 2012 Share Posted April 21, 2012 I think it may be a gamble as to whether the focal distances would work, and whether or not the thread is the same. I would also be careful that you note how many lens's there are, and how they are fitted. If you are feeling brave, give it a go and see what happens, just be careful that you don't cross thread it. If you are after a decent Barlow at a modest price, keep your eye's open for a Tal Barlow, good performance for around £35 new and £20 - £25 s/hand.
