Guest Geth Posted April 22, 2012 Share Posted April 22, 2012 Hi, I've just got my new scope and at the moment very pleased with it. Not that I've had it outside yet. What I want to do is connect to a laptop. What cable do I need, I can make my own. The Tosh laptop has usb and what it alls a LAN jack something like a RJ45 not unlike the skope connection. Does the cable need to be inverted or would it be straight through. Both available on e-bay or any of the main dealers. USB / serial converter plugs into usb port on laptop, meade cable plugs into handset from memory then into the other end of the converter. I all ready have a usb to serial converter and have ordered the RJ45 look alikes from ebay. 10 for £1.50 inc. p&p. Thanks for the offer of bits.
