Very interesting, thanks for posting, David. :thumbsup:

 

I think someone posted about this a year or two back when it was in its prototype stage, a bit bulkier and more of a home made looking design. I'm sure the Orion nebula and M81 pics are not as you'd see them on-the-fly though.

 

I see on the following website that the Orion nebula image was 30 x 1 minute frames. But it looks very good...

I seen something a few months back on tv I think it stacks on the fly  so pictures looks better as time goes on

It is a nice idea that it both tracks and takes care of image rotation in an altaz. I'm sure the TTS Panther does a much better job though, but that's not quite so portable.

I suppose its not just a doublet, with everything else you need for imaging built in?  but agree the price is high.

Looks great for holidays though :D
