No Rob.

It is English.

It is an 18.5 inch truss Newt / Cass that is mounted on a huge Solar disc supported fork mount.

Coming out of an observatory about as far away as you can get from me in England but will be well worth the 800 mile or so round trip.

In Newtonian configuration it is an F 4.5

In Cassegrain configuration it is an F 18

Next week is going to drag by as I get my first look at it next Friday.

I have a few of bits and pieces of the mechanics that I asked for.

I will take a load next week when I go up to see it.

I do have this one I was sent.

I have had to enlarge it in paint as it was very small so its a bit blurry but you get the idea.

The way I figure it Martyn is you only pass this way once so if the opportunity arises grab it with both hands. ?

The detail in Copernicus is stunning Graham, it certainly goes deep. At F18 it is going to be awersome on planets as well. A lot of work but you are the man to take it on with your engineering background. Hope it all goes well.
