anothier SW auto focuser question?

hi, guy's/gal's,

john here as i have finger's supplied by fyfe's (bananas) :rolleyes: and whils't focusing everything vibrates like a jiggerpick!! i decided to purchase the lacerta microfocuser add on.... it's much better but still doesn't eliminate the movement :( sooo i wondered if anyone could tell me if i purchase the power focuser with remote, A....will it fit either side....IE:- can i retain the micro focuser and still fit the moter on opposite side??......and if i can what are your opinion's in it's abbility's/quality's :blink:

Hi John.

I have the SW electronic focuser on my 200P and I love it. My hands shake so much I could not get good focus, so this is brill for me.

I don't think you will be able to use your other focuser, as the electric motor basically locks the other focuser wheel in place and only turns when the motor turns.

thank's for info darren,shame about micro focuser....suppose i will have to bung it on ebay :D unless i can find a way of combining the two :huh:

If you do come up with a way, please let us know.

I was wondering the same thing as you, as even on its fastest speed, it is still a little too slow, on initial setup and when packing away.
