iss moon transit

Recommended Posts

There's a  ISS moon transit this tuesday for the more northerly midlanders if you are in this catchment area

And me at about 17.13pm.

Visually it would definitely be "blink and you miss it". It will cross the top part of the crescent moon in less than half a second. It will cross the bright crescent then the dark side, so might be visible at some point. Really not sure what the illumination will be like on the ISS during daylight. I'm sure it would be near impossible without a camera.

I think I am just about on the northern edge, but looking very overcast.
