Someone got a nice bargain

Seen this the other day could be a tal mak 150mm went for £100  +fees  nice bargain

That may be all it was worth ?

It doesn't look very well cared for. 

The corrector plate is hidden from view, it could have had all sorts of things wrong with it.

I can't see any signs of a focuser ?

 

Also, i don't think Tal ever made a Muksutov Cassegrain scope ?

looks more like an Intes to me....

They did, think it was the Tal 150k and 200k

That was a different design Andy.

It was called a Klevtsov -Cassegrain.

 

This was somewhat different to your usual Mak-Cass.

It was an open tube design. It still had a spherical primary mirror,

but had the secondary held by a conventional Newtonian type spider,

and then had a meniscus type corrector directly above the secondarys surface.

I'm not sure about a '150K' 6 inch, but i know they did a 200k and 250k 8 and 10 inch.

I remember having a look at them at Astrofest many moons ago ; must have been early 2000s.

 

I'm not sure if they are still available, or indeed, if Tal are still in business.

It was certainly an interesting design, but i don't think they ever really caught on.
