Baader solar continum filter - is it worth it?

I'm in the process of sorting myself out with some Baader solar film (we had flocking season, now it's solar film season!), but don't know whether to invest in this filter too? They are a bit pricey! Does anyone here have one & if so what does it do for your (visual) image? Thanks.

It is a bit pricey but if you want observe the sun without paying for a solar scope then it is the only safe way to go whether it's for imaging or visual.

Thought I only needed the solar film for that John?

The Continuum filter is great for increasing contrast over just the filter sheet alone.

However a similar effect can be had with a Wratten green 58A filter (cheap!)

Personally, I would not of been without my Continuum filter, but as with EPs : it's a personal thing. Best bet would be to try one out first :)

Sorry, misread the post and didn't notice the filter.
