And an orangey yellow band across the rear of its head. Pretty sedate and placid as long as you don't start attacking their nest ! They generally prefer woodland areas away from the urban sprawl. My interest was sparked when we had a hornets nest over the road from us about 5 years ago I'm more interested in telescopes though........! ?
