If anyone is thinking of going for any heres just a few caveats when buying optics or cameras from auction houses Always go and view, handle,inspect the lots yourself. If you cant view and ask for a condition report bare in mind the person giving the report will have no idea about astro gear or even optics, they will look at it cosmetically, not functionally, make sure they know from you exactly what you want to them to look at. The auction house will take 20-25% or even more in some of the more expensive establishments. The saleroom.com take a percentage alsi. Then there is postage and packing if you cant collect.
