A couple of hours on the water jet this morning saw all the main body plates cut ready for assembly. ( Photos to follow. ) Next job is to manufacture the bearing holders before I can assemble the body. The shaft diameter on both axis is going to be 65mm so I doubt there will be much chance of any flex. The bearings of which there are four in total are 125mm diameter deep set taper roller bearings. This gives you an idea of the size of the bearings. Watch this space for further updates. Going to be building this with my usual trademark of over engineering everything. The bearings have a no bind capacity rating of over a ton a piece.
