Thoughts on refractor please

I’m toying with the idea of buying a small refractor, isn’t going to be a bank breaker just something small and light with a fov that can get m42 and M31 in frame so was thinking of either a Altair Astro 60 EDF https://www.altairastro.com/60EDF-ED-R-Refractor-Telescope.html or a WO  ZENITHSTAR 71s with 0.8 reducer  what are your thoughts on this , currently I have. 200pds which is great , a 127mm mak and a 130pds which I probably will sell the frac taking its place .

I snapped M31 a few years back using my Megrez 72FD at 432mm fl with a Canon 550d.

But then I am biased owning a GT 81

The only difference is the the Altair has pfl53 glass the wo 71doesn’t

WO have reliable high quality and produce very nice scopes - but the astrograph has a tempting spec wich has been an enduring feature of Altair Astro offerings. The scopes are kinda similar but quite different and I would base the decision on what you wanna do with it, and of course available budget plus the need for any essential extras (reducer, flatenner, etc). ?

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit my 50mm lps filter into the mix, currently screwed onto my baader CC on the 200pds ,currently the camera is connected to the refractor with a M48 to eos adapter

I will bolt the vixen dovetail to the wider losmondy type plate that is currently on the 130pds ,the Eq6 doesn't have the Dual puck so will save having to swap pucks hopefully first light will be soon ,just need to work out the platesolving files and get the downloaded so i can platesolve with this setup

48mm filter question solved this can screw onto 48mm thread on focuser and then eos to M48 so sits between eos adapter and focuser
