Guys I haven't a clue - what settings would give me a good chance of getting half decent photos through the canon 1100d, hooked up to the hyperion zoom?

I can see some nice sharp sunspots through the zoom, but when I attach the camera the live view is out of focus.

Dan, I use 1/50th ISO 200 but 1/30-1/75 depending on the brightness of the Sun. Just have a practise on the Sun using Freeview for focusing.

With my 350D on the 200p with no barlow, but with apature cut to 2inches, I found ISO100 @ 1/2500th of a second was about right IMO.
