+RonC Posted June 4, 2012 Share Posted June 4, 2012 Decided after some Solar photography this morning to make a solar filter for my RDF. I chose a spare piece of black plastic tubing just larger than the dew shield portion of my RDFand superglued a piece of spare Baader Astro Solar sheet on the end. With some Gaffa tape, I secured the rim and fitted it to the RDF, just in time for the Venus transit! (cloud permitting!!) I shall also take a large piece of cardboard sheet with me, cut out to fit around the main OTC as a sun-shield to better see the image on my Canon 1000d.
