Andromeda Widefield

Hi everyone - more practice shots with the Samyand 135mm. This time it's our old friend Andromeda, sat right in the middle of a beautiful star field. Really happy with the natural star colour this lens provides. 88 x1min exposures at ISO1600 and f4 from my modded Canon 450d. ?

Chris, great image mate. Have you tried guiding with the Adventurer? I'm thinking about trying it at Kelling! ??

Hi Ron - Yes I have and it works OK - just remember to switch off the DEC adjustment in PHD (in the advanced settings). You can also use Sharpcap polar align to confirm your polar alignment - but the reticule on the mount is pretty good. Good luck

Nicely framed image, with a fair bit of detail in the lanes... and M32 and M110 look great too. ?
