I've done 2 of the mods on the extension but may have to do another if the 'tube' moves! It's very tight but others have had a problem with the tube rotating! Anyway, ready for tomorrow night hopefully! Ron (Just noticed the Guide cam wire hanging down!) MeadeUser Posted December 17, 2019 Share Posted December 17, 2019 On mine I actually counter sunk the six holes around the edge, and used countersunk headed bolts, so when tight they fitter flush, as there was movement in the bolt holes, and this stopped that, also I tightened them always in the same order, and had an extra M5 bolt through the base into my pier adapter plate so it could not turn.. then later I cut an 85mm circular hole in the side with a steel hole cutter, so I could get hand in the release the mount head without removing any of the six bolts...and that was even better...
