Last night I managed to gather 50 2 min subs at ISO 400.

Put through DSS along with darks and flats and adjusted in there as well.

What I rearly need is someone to process this properly for me as I just cannot get my head around PS.

I have the autosave file from DSS if someone fancies a go please let me know.

Hi Pat.

Your right getting the data is the easy bit.

Pat can I send you the autosave file from DSS and let you see what you can get out of that.

Right just downloaded DSS onto the office computer and had another go at this.

Cropped and rough polished in Picasa.

And another this time run through Gimp.

Just for a comparison I restacked the data but without the flats this time.

I have also cropped down to get a close up of 81.

I'd say this is a much better start. Loads of detail there and far less blown out. Keep on adding data and I'm sure this will turn out to be a cracker, although it's very good already.

Hi Graham,

If you send me originals I'll have a go at processing, email you can get away with a couple of megabytes (up to 5mb usually, depending on your ISP).

Alternatively if you use a flash stick post off and i'll send back with the job done!

Cheers

HI Graham,

Another go at 81!, just loosing a little of the arms though, but increased the contrast and a small amount of sharpening.

Hi Pat,

I stay away from full blown photoshop (though I have it installed). For quick work like this you cannot beat PS elements with all the plug ins. Still works with layers and more simple to use, though I do not do astro photog my own image bank extends to around 250,000 images!.

Cheers
