As if picking an image each month for POTM wasn't hard enough 😀 a picture of the year is even harder cos they are all outstanding images, and there has been some crackers this year.

So lets just remind ourselves of the POTM images for 2019. To avoid boring everyone, I won't waffle on about each because I did that in the months round up, so here we go:-

January

8472s double cluster

November

ChrisP Barnards loop etc

December

Graham Rosette Hubble

Just going through these again has reminded me just what a high standard of imaging there is in EMS, well done folks.

However the rules say one has to be picked and going through them again I lingered on 2, Ibbos Squid and DerbyshireDaves Elephants Trunk and I then did my switching between the 2 to decide

🥁 🥁 🥁

and my vote for POTY 2019 is Ibbos Squid, well done Steve

8472s double cluster shot. Gets my vote.

I love the difference in the colour of the stars. The golden stars are absolutely beautiful.

Nice work, Steve.

I've experienced first hand how difficult a target the squid is and you've done a remarkable rendition of it.

They are all outstanding, but for sheer bloody mindedness and effort then it is a fair shout for the squid. Many congratulations Ibbo.

Many thanks to all of our imagers who submit their work, it's all very much appreciated by us visual observers.
