Solar from today 04.04.2020.

Made the most of a beautiful day down here.

Shot gigabytes of Ser files despite the seeing being decidedly dodgy.

Trying to hold focus was pretty near impossible especially at higher magnifications.

The processing turned out to be a nightmare.

The solar radiation is quite high today.

Every time a Cosmic particle hit the sensor it created a flash in that frame.

I had to go through each video frame by frame to discard the affected frames.

The image of the Sunspot had approximately 120 such frames in the SER file.

If I stacked the video without removing the affected frames the result was a totally washed out image.

I was going to add a video showing the effects of the solar particles hitting the sensor but when I converted the SER file to AVI in Pipp it took out all the affected frames. 😠

Something I will have to remember next time as it will save me hours of doing it manually. 😅

Decided to push things to the limit and added a 5X Barlow into the mix for some close up action.
