I use IRIS. It's also free. I first used it for normal photo editing but it is really a dedicated astrophotography editing software. It's fairly old now (last release was in 2010) and that shows in it's GUI but it has some very powerful tools that are really straight forward to use once you come to terms with it's idiosyncrasities. It can also run scripts so these days I use Excel VBA to generate them and just let it get on with it.

I like the really wide field, it's tempting to crop down to the galaxy but this looks great.
