Waning moon 7/7/12

I was determined to get a waning moon image, so I stayed up most of the night to catch the moon when it cleared my neighbour's trees.

The 150p's secondary got dewed up so I resorted to using the ST80 with the webcam. This is the first image I got without the barlow, I'm still processing the larger barlowed image.

The ST80 looked very small on the eq6.

Very nice shot for the ST80 Paul - can just see a little CA but overall very sharp and detailed. I'm allways amazed what can be done with an ST80 - probably cos it's largely regarded more as a guide scope. :)

Here's the barlowed image, there was a lot more CA but I think I've got rid of most of it in processing, I've done my usual trick of missing a couple of bits though :(

With the moon being quite low in the sky I have to rush to get the images while the it is between a gap in some trees which is why I end up missing areas.
