Guest Tweedledum Posted July 17, 2012 Share Posted July 17, 2012 Fickle thing the jetstream, except for the last few summers!.... the consistency will remind folk that global warming has other consequences. Parts of the USA are in drought and excessive heat and we get the rain. The jetstream also causes the storms to roll off the Rockies southward to generate the rotational movement of air mass to then spawn super cells & tornado's. Roll on the summers of 76 /77 jetstream well north of the uk & high pressure static over most of europe. Made for some great sailing but then again in August 79 hit 55 foot waves in the Irish Sea!!.
