Guest Posted November 1, 2020 Share Posted November 1, 2020 It was an awful month. I missed seeing Mars through a telescope and the Orionid shower. In fact, I did not see any meteors and one maybe I snapped could just have easily been a satellite trail. Could be wrong 🙂 As I did not take any frames before or after the one I took, I cannot say, for sure, what it was. I have learned that short exposures at high ISO (6 seconds/ISO6400) allow me to tell satellite trails from meteor ones. Satellite trails appear on preceding frames or ones after, whereas meteor trails only appear once. So the conclusion was inconclusive! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
