Wildlife Pond

Nothing related to the stars!

I have a natural wildlife pond done about 20 years ago in the garden, problem is the butyl lining is now leaking. Does anyone know of anyone that could renew the lining etc for me but make sure all the critters and newts etc survive the upheaval and go back in?

Know it's a long shot but hope someone might have a clue

I've never had to empty my pond but a friend of mine did to his to clean it. He put his frog population on a suitable sized container whilst it he clean the liner. Regarding the leak, I don't know if Butyl can be repaired or relined with another layer place on top of the old one.

Not a bad thought about another layer of butly as it has been repaired bfore, but as for containers my pond is 20ft by 12 feet and 4 foot deep in the middle, that's why I think I need help it's rather large and contains bout 50 pairs of newts plus lots of other critters!
