I think you've done a great job for your first attempt!!

It's now down to experience with all the software etc... Well done 👍

Really nice Alison 😊👍🏼🔭

You are showing alot of talent in what is a pretty difficult area of photography. Well done.

The galaxies look great

Download Carboni’s Tools for photo shop.

They are a specially written set of tools for astro images.

Use them for sorting out your stars and loads of other stuff.

Take a look at this https://astrobackyard.com/astronomy-tools-action-set-review/

I have used them for years now.

Ahh thank you! I’ll definitely look into that.
I have watched loads of Trevor‘s YouTube videos. They’re great and really easy to understand. I’ll watch the one you sent as haven’t seen it 😊

You have turned out a cracker for your first galaxy shot, not only that but there is good detail in both, yeah the stars aren't quite right, but you have got the galaxies. It looks like you are bitten by the astro bug and you have come a long way from learning to polar align, which wasn't all that long ago.

I think it's just a matter of finding the right software and workflow that suits you and you'll be there. Keep going, you are doing fantastic.

Ha ha! Yeah, I've definitely got the astro bug!

I didn't realise how many things there were to learn, and how complicated most things are 😩 I'm still very much in the trial and error zone but I'm understanding more as I go along 😊

wish my first effort was that good, well done, i1m surprised there isn`t a little more colour coming through, might be one of your settings, as for the actions to use in photoshop, one of them is reduce stars which is great as i always seem to make mine very bright when processing, so reducing the star size and brightness is a great feature

Thank you! I'm totally winging it with processing at the moment! I know my way around photoshop which helps but most of the things I would use for normal photography aren't really relevant. 🙈

I've downloaded the 'Astronomy tools actions' so will have a play around with those. I need to follow some YouTube tutorial's I think. 😂

Also need to capture more data I think 😊
