I have normal finderscope on Newtonian wich is OK but struggle to locate things, should I get red dot finder or Telrad? Not particulary bothered on price. BAZ Posted July 30, 2012 Share Posted July 30, 2012 Another vote for a Telrad. I find a RACI, (Right Angle Correct Image) finder useful, it saves me bending to look through it. Brantuk Posted July 30, 2012 Share Posted July 30, 2012 I use both Telrad (on a riser) and 9x50 RACI (right angle correct image). The raci is great for objects that you can see naked eye (like planets and brighter dso's). But the Telrad comes into it's own when you need to star hop and follow charts.
