It is still early days for me and imaging but thought i would have a crack at M57 tonight as it is an easy target and bright. This was taken with a Helios 8 inch Newtonian on an EQ5, Canon 1000d. 10X 20 sec iso 400, 10x 20 sec iso 800 and 10x darks.

I am quite happy how it has come out, some colour is starting to show and i think that the central star can be seen when i zoom in on the original image..

I would like to have a go at this at a longer focal length at some point.

Great image there Mark.

M 57 is one of my favourites, its so different to the norm.

Re processed the original subs and cropped the image to show what i meant about the central star.
