Just purchased these forks.

The Intes will just fit :)

Will make a simple motorised alt az for visual observing.

Will run off internal batteries as well which makes it great for the dark sites.

That looks like a great project to conveniently motorise your mak.

I also reckon your Skytee is a great piece of kit, but that needs pushing :) .

Did your mak come with that focusser? It looks the same as my JMI dual speed. Are you satisfied with it? I've not tried mine yet.

That looks like an awesome project John.

It will make viewing a lot more pleasure not have to push it round.

Just realised the picture of the mak is one taken before i switched the focuser!

The one shown is with a JMI motor focus.

It now has a WO type as mentioned earlier.

Did you have a problem with the JMI then?

The WO does look like a beefier bit of kit.

No the JMI was a nice bit of kit.

I just prefered to have a manual focus when doing visual.

The heavier WO focuser also puts the scope in a better position balance wise for my needs.

Plus i just like the asthetics :)

Cheers John,

Looks like the forks and scope were made for each other and purchased right of the shelf.

You have done a really smart job.
