July Report

Nice pictures Phil. I had a relatively decent July with thirteen sessions in total. Twelve with my 72ED DS Pro and one with my 102mm SkyMax. Eleven of the sessions were in a row. Which must be a record for me.

I was a bit disappointed with the SkyMax Saturn/Jupiter session although I split Iota Cass (and others including Mu Bootis) beautifully at 217x. The final session of the month was with the 72mm Evostar.

On the 14th I saw Barnard 78, which I haven't seen since the 2018 heatwave. On the 17th I witnessed a Ganymede transit and the seeing was excellent. I got a sharp 140x on Jupiter. Which is good going with a 72mm doublet.
