I was hoping to get a lot more lights for this but cloud kept interupting. Though if nothing else the image shows how nice and dark the Sky is at our dark site. My processing leaves a lot to be desired but we all have to start somewhere. ;)

The image was taken with a Canon 1000d with Tamron 70-300 telephoto lens set at 100mm on a driver EQ5. It is made up of 9 x 1 minute exposures and the same of darks.

When zoomed in it shows the dust lanes quite well.

I am keen to get another go at this one and hope to be able to get a lot more subs next time.
