I didn't realise Pinta 1.7.1 had been released.

I upgraded from the PPA but it wasn't very stable and crashed almost as soon as it opened.

As I run Ubuntu 20.04 LTS I decided to try the Snap version from the Ubuntu Software Centre.

This is far more stable and I could actually edit pictures.

I'm guessing the PPA has dependencies issues. The Snap seems fine though. Pinta can be run on Windows but I think some libraries need to be installed for it.
