I like observing clusters. They look good even in LPed skies.  The full frame shot reveals more & more as you zoom in.

Another 'cluster enthusiast' here 😀

I think this is your best image to date Dave. Focus is spot on.

Nice

Thanks chaps. Clusters and double stars are my favourite objects. I love looking at doubles with different colours, mind you I like looking at any coloured star. This time of year is great as you've got so many of them, Aldebaran, Capella, Betelguese, Rigel and of course there is also Sirius twinkling a whole host of different colours when low down near the horizon. I can spend hours just looking at stars, either with the naked eye, using binoculars or through a scope. I once saw what I can only describe as a beautiful forget-me-not blue coloured star one night, never seen it again and can't remember whereabouts in the sky it was now as it was a night when I was just pointing the scope at completely random places. Let's hope for some clear skies soon 🙂

Not a cluster fan myself but you are certainly doing them justice Dave

Thanks Graham 🙂  I must admit I never thought much of nebulae until I started looking more closely at the images that you and the others post here. Visually all but the brightest are a no go from where I live.
