Solar (white light) observations.

I have to confess that last years Lunt Solar/Hershel purchase has finally come into its own with the addition of a Baader solar continuum filter. It's been a while since I had a proper session and this is the first time I have used my current set up, so the last two outings late last week and over the weekend have been something of a revelation, so much extra detail in granulation features, I am impressed. The two excellent spots to zoom in on were 2954 and 2955. Anyway I had a good time, the most enjoyable session of white light observation I have had in all the years.

I should have ditched the solar film a long time ago it seems, I can't wait for the next session now.

Thanks for sharing. I have recently started Sun observing and enjoy it too.  I’m planning on getting a Herschel wedge to improve my views.

The wedge was a good buy, I underrated how good it was the last time I used it. It is going to be getting a lot more use than it has had to date.
