Popular Post philjay Posted March 1, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted March 1, 2022 (edited) On the 27th I set up the ed80 plus reducer and HEq5 with the 1000d to try a couple of things out. I resurrected my STI Stiletto Ronchi focus aid, which I bought ages ago and forgot I had. plus a new comms hub on the mount. I set up pre twilight to sort the hub which worked OK after a few operator errors so I was up and running quite early. After waiting for a bit of dark I tried the STI and this was hit and miss, not like I remembered it. It used to be, centre scope on bright star, fit sti on the draw tube, adjust focus till grid lines widen and eventually it,s just greyed out, remove sti and fit 1000d. It was unreliable, I tried several times and got different results. Then I twigged, it used to work fine with native fl of F7 but was hit and miss with a reducer fitted, which I had got. So back to the mask and live view.
